Gathered Cheer Social

Those who know me, know I love a good get-together with friends. And, while I can just about cope in larger groups, it is the gatherings of a smaller nature that I really enjoy. (More often than not, big group events leave me needing to hide in the bathroom after about ten minutes. Am I the only one to do this?!) It is this love of meeting with and cheering on friends that led me to set up the Gathered Cheer Socials. Designed with bloggers and creatives in mind, the aim is to have fun and be encouraged to cheer each other on.

Each social will be a collaboration between another blogging buddy and me, and first up was the ever-so-talented Teri from The Lovely Drawer. To keep things small for the first gathering, I invited a few friends to Teri's for a delicious brunch. Anyone who reads The Lovely Drawer knows that when it comes to food, Teri is ridiculously clever and always turns out the tastiest treats. This brunch was no exception - there was a whole host of delights on offer, including avocado on toast, pancakes with maple syrup and bacon and mini breakfast muffins. So so good.

It was such fun to catch up with Lynne from Papermash, Katy from Apartment Apothecary, Charlotte from Lotts & Lots, Soumya from Made by Molu and Amy from Daisy Fay. The morning (and afternoon!) was so relaxed and full of chatter about all things blog and non-blog related. I left Teri's feeling so inspired and happy, full of ideas and things I want to make happen.

The socials are still in the early planning days, but I hope to offer one a month - open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. The group sizes will be kept small to keep the friendly, easy atmosphere. The activity too will vary, being guided by the blogger I collaborate with - such as where they live, what they're blogging niche is and so on. It should make for a fun round of events!

Hope to see you at a social soon!
